Great video 👍
did la make you crazy
I did the same 4months ago. The worst feeling is waking up with no idea
nice vlog😊
I would watch you read a book. That's the truth.
But bro, you’re alive! LA burned to the ground. Well, so did like 99% of Canada (actually no one ever said that was put out. I think it’s still burning or burnt down any forms of communication to the outside world) ….but LA is gone now. You can always do ASMR, you have the voice for it.
Makes sense to me. Another direction to capture the difference from is whether the shot is about the composition itself eg. the image itself as a piece of artwork ("Every frame is a painting" as it were). Or whether the shot is about what's inside of it, the subjects and/or what they're doing or feeling eg. that feeling of movement and rushing through the day. And of course, some shots can be about both.
Just wanted to come back after a year of internalizing and thinking about this short constantly and let you know that this short was the #1 thing that helped me actually start making content that I'm happy with and actually produce on a consistent basis. There's a great chance I would still be making 1 video a year if this short was never uploaded so I just wanted to say thanks Audrey for helping inspire other creators. I wish you all the best on your own personal journey!
Beautiful, thanks a lot😊
According to a 2023 report by Collabstr, 77% of influencers actively monetizing their content on Instagram are female. We need more men on Instagram 😭
Why don't you just make videos that are talking about current issues in media creation such as this one whilst experimenting and being inspired?
It would be cool to see you collab as an editor or cameraman for Nigel from nilered sense he’s from Canada too and sense it would probably be pretty easy to reach out to him due to your connection with Allen pan and the other guys on safety third
Hi Audrey, you crossed my mind today because I was really amazed by your storytelling in one particular video. Stopping by to say hi!! Hope you're well :)
Great Video Audrey! Really dynamic :)
Agree with you... I feel people who complain about others copying them, probably copied others too before they got big too
Excited to follow along! All the best ❤️
ASMR intentional or not FTW!
Love your video style, Audrey! Great tips and vibes 👏
Love the colours and lighting 👏
Hey so completely off topic, where did you get your sunset lamp on the drawer?
You’ve got this Audrey!🔥
Yeah, that’s it… 🥸
What she said
I don't have any film legs to stand on, but that seems like a useful delineation.
I’m so glad I found you. You are so relatable! I am curious how you changed the room settings at 1:17-1:19…could you share your technique?
Shit colour grading
women need to be less rewarded/encouraged for focusing on beauty/vanity. that's the hard truth. women get defensive when they hear that because you're being a "pick me" or not a "girl's girl" or whatever. but it's so true. across youtube and social media in general there are so many videos aimed at men/boys with messages of discipline, self improvement, learning practical skills, authentically engaging with hobbies/learning new things, but the female versions feel so flat and vapid. like i'm tired of the "i'm just a girl"-esque vibe that comes from content aimed at women and girls. i'm not saying there aren't women who do these things i'm talking about, i'm saying they're ignored or buried by content revolving around or centering beauty/vanity etc. like even women-focused content about investing or education will have strong tones of vanity built in. it's actually very degrading and impractical. and women who are not worried about how they look etc get buried by the algorithm and ignored...it's so frustrating
Audrey! this is one of the finest video of its kind I have seen. Well DONE - CONTINUED SUCCESS
as i see it you're just a spoiled kid and wont get anywhere in life
Do you have any recommendations to making an action camera look at cinematic as possible? I know they're usually for extreme sports and things of that nature, but I'm trying to get the A24 aesthetic out of it. (DJI OSMO ACTION 5 PRO) So if we're talking just in the filming stage, not colour, grading and stuff - maybe some filters would be useful? And the filter, maybe a black mist filter? Kind of thing
a lot of the farmer creators are the same....
to me the Maxime thing just seemed like he was a big fan that had come by the exact same life opportunity (to vlog himself flying out to go see his partner) and chose to execute the video in a very similar style because, well duh, that's what style of editing he's into, he's a big fan, this is a vlog we're talking about, not a deeply intricate film, maybe I'm just too charitable but I just don't see a world where Maxime's video isn't entirely a labour of love
Single white female
Video 205: Suing people who comment in every single video for copying me 🤣
the second woman is clearly unoriginal, but I hope this gets thrown out. She's not stealing any kind of patent, trademark, or copyright. Nothing illegal was done here. This is just internet drama. Casey called the other guy out in a social media post, he didn't sue.
Fashion copyright was already settled/resettled by the Supreme Court in 2017 in "Star Athletica, LLC v. Varsity Brands, Inc." Specific design elements can be copyrightable, but general aesthetics cannot
I agree that the line that divides inspiration from plagiarism is often blurred. But when you see it, you know what is a copy and what is inspired. You would be surprised to know that entire feature films, songs and design ideas in my country have been rip-offs (without credit) of other (usually famous) people's work. The result is an inferior copy that lacks soul. But the sad part is that they get away with it without consequences.
This drama got serious Ingrid Goes West vibes or any of the other copy movies where some girl goes a little over with copying some other girls style
The biggest thing that stood out to me the most was the claim of "mental anguish." In the object world (especially in the legal system), emotions (or emotional damage) aren't something you can quantify or prove because human emotion is not universally tangent in the objective space by fact. Feelings by logic are just hard to prove no matter how valid they are; and even if tried, it's hard to universally agree the kind of cost or value they have.
Wait this vid is acutally soo good
Very nice video here
3:36 I remember XD Sheet I'm getting old
I've watched a few of your videos now - here are my thoughts. Don't attempt to achieve creative fulfillment through the same avenue that you earn money. You will find that the necessity of success, the time constraints, the stress, will all ruin the joys of creativity. Instead, start doing what your successful counterparts have done. Make money by making whatever crap generates an interesting thumbnail. (and a great title helps too) All of the work you do on your beautiful cinematography and editing is ultimately wasted when youtube is primarily a clickbait based platform. Remember, this is a machine, built to keep the eyes of consumers glued to ads for as long as possible. It turns you and the content you generate into a corporate advertisement. That is its only goal. It does not exist to provide creative fulfilment. The solution: Create a new channel that is meant to be your revenue generating content. Make videos that only exist to make an amazing thumbnail. Find a genre that generates a lot of views that is easy to create content for. Create low effort content to make money. Spend as little time as possible on this endeavor. Examples: Filming cute animals, kids videos, etc. (You don't even need to be in these videos necessarily - just do your research to find topics that get HUGE viewerships easily) Then, spend as much time as possible creating the type of content you love to create on a second channel. Monetize it sure, but resist the urge to look at your analytics. Consider it the "beer money" channel. Then, just make whatever you want and enjoy. If it ever makes any money, cool. But don't ever let yourself come to depend on that channel as your primary revenue source, no matter how big it gets. The moment your mind accepts that idea, your creative joy will go out the window.
🙌 Love your vids❤
very insightful and relevant, especially in this new space that's opportune for exploitation. fwiw, I'd never think you copied Emily the Engineer, lol.. sorry again about that Open Sauce confusion!
in 20 years all this will just look like flushing your child bearing years and chance for family down the toilet
Heyo Audrey, just some feedback i hope it would be of help: the text and the images in the piece of paper you are holding in the thumbnail is too small to be legible on bunch of devices! I had to reaaally squint to make out what the photos were, and the text was very hard to read. Maybe if you change the content of it to be bigger, it might help with drawing viewers' eyes to the video!
I remember playing with fire, great series.
I find it very weird behaviour but alas, the world is full of inescapably weird behaviour... 🤣 🤣 Great to see you're still at it! 🔥🧨💪🏽🤠👍🏽🧨🔥
(when) will you come back ?
MHO as long as Alyssa still fully creates her own video's, instead of eg SSSW who directly copies videos themself (and adds zero to none to it), the topic/content/aesthetic claim is bs. Yeah maybe it's cringe, but not sth that so should be sued for
